Congratulations - Amy Plessis

The Reading Bear is delighted to congratulate Amy Plessis, (MD’2020) on her graduation from Pediatrics at UBC. Amy entered a fellowship in allergy and immunology at UBC on July 1st.

During medical school, Amy founded the RBS Kelowna chapter and for her FLEX practicums, she created the Dr. Bear visits program and the first edition of A Visit to Dr. Bear, children’s book along with a tip sheet for parents visiting the doctor’s office. Amy also initiated the first visit at the Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, where medical students go in once a month to read with children and their siblings and deliver teddy bears. Amy serves as a RBS FLEX student advisor where she assist students with the review of their FLEX projects and offers guidance for entry into pediatrics. Best wishes Amy for your next chapter. We are so very proud of you and your accomplishments and your love of children.
